    Time: 1 hour and 30 minutes

    235 centimetres high and made in Carrara marble, this sculpture can be found in San Pietro in Vincoli which was sculptured about 155 for the tomb of Pope Giulio II.  The statue retraces Moses in the moment of his return to Mount Sinai, with the tablets of law received from God, watching the Hebrews with rage, who were given pagan cults during his absence.  According to popular fantasy the artist has sculptured in the beard, under the lower lip, the profile of Pope Giulio II and a head of a woman.
