It’s no secret that Ibiza is Europe’s biggest party playground, that Berlin has the coolest and swankiest clubs for the alternative set and that France has everything the rich and famous might dream of, in Saint Tropez or the upscale clubs in Paris. Amsterdam is also a preferred party destination and Greece’s island of Mykonos presents itself as a more accessible version of Ibiza, at the other end of the continent. However, there are plenty of other places on the Old Continent where you can enjoy a good time—whether for an offbeat New Year’s Eve Celebration, a stag or hen party unlike any other in your circle of friends or simply a clubbing weekend on a budget, in an exotic location. For your information and entertainment purposes, here are the five best lesser known cities to party in, listed below. Meanwhile, you just grab your luggage, look up a good currency converter and start your party planning.

As the capital city of England and premier arrival destination for visitors to the United Kingdom, London enjoys a busy cycle of revolving tourists and business travellers. Visitors wishing to enjoy the sights and experience some of the city`s steeped history will, of course, need a place to call their bed for the night and to this end the city is full of hotels that range across a spectrum from high-class boutique all the way to comfortable budget hostels. The best way of dividing the sheer volume is, of course, by the individual traveller`s budget, but just as important is the matter of location – London is a big city with a lot of things to see, so it pays to research into what exactly a prospective traveller wishes to see as well as how much they would be willing to spend.

When going on a trip people want to make sure that it goes as smooth as possible. Nothing tends to ruin a trip like bumps in the road that can work to mar the efficiency and timing of the planned events and activities.

When going on a trip to France, you don’t need to be intimidated about language differences. English has been assimilated and woven into the culture as a standard language, especially in the bigger cities like Paris or Nice. However, there are many smaller areas in France that are not accustomed to speaking English. Thus, it may be helpful before going on a trip to a French speaking area that you become familiar with French phrases and words in order to facilitate the trip. Or, at least take a guidebook that contains a few key translations. Even if it isn’t necessary to speak French, it may be fun to speak the native tongue.
