While Tuscany is mostly known for its inland towns and cities such as Florence, Pisa and Siena, many forgo a large deal of charming towns and villages on the spectacular Tuscany coast. The shoreline of this Italian region is about 600 kilometres long, spanning from Liguria to the north until Lazio, to the southernmost tip. All along the shores various kinds of beaches alternate in infinite succession. The narrow and clear sandy beaches of the northern side slowly change their shape, widening up and darkening their hues to the pale brown color characterizing the shores in the province of Grosseto. Along this ideal journey from north to south, you can encounter rocky beaches, perpendicular cliffs overlooking crystal clear waters, and narrow stretches of land backed by kilometres of centennial pine woods.
